The Basic Building Process :
1) Preliminary meetings to select a plan, fine tuning your specific
needs, and arrive at a cost.
2) Lot selection. (Typically done simultaneously with plan design.)
3) Contract, specifications, technical drawings
4) Financing
5) "The Build"
6) Predelivery walk thru and punch list
7) Closing
8) Warranty Period
Services Provided By D.L. Miller Construction :
- D.L. Miller is a custom builder. We offer "stock plans" to make the process easier for you. But customization is a standard operating procedure for us. It's your home, build it the way you want it.
- "In House Design." Before you spend money to break ground, D.L. Miller will provide a virtual walk thru via computer so you can walk the plan before you start. We want your vision of your home to be clear. It will save you money!
- D.L. Miller will work with you to find the lender that best fits your needs and goals. Everyone's needs are different, we work to minimize the financial stress of the building process.
- Comprehensive building contract including: beginning and ending dates. Comprehensive selection guide lines with specific dates for action that are tied to the production schedule.
- Availability! The team at D.L. Miller Construction is available and ready to build your home. We can be contacted by voice, fax, and email. We want contact with you. The D.L. Miller team is committed to communicating to you the status at all times.
- If you are uncomfortable with the selection process, D.L. Miller offers fee based assistance at the D.L. Miller Design Center.
- Written change order process. D.L. Miller recognizes that you may want to add or change a feature of home at a time that is less feasable than others. For that reason, D.L. Miller will make the change provided a signed change order with payment is executed.
- D.L. Miller offers the complete package: i.e. new home construction package can include: house, lot, landscaping, yard, sprinkler, window coverings and wall finishes. You supply furniture and personal items.
- D.L. MIller Construction will coordinate the closing with the lender of your choice. All information your lender requires will be provided in a timely fashion.
